Rin stood outside your door rubbing his hands together to keep warm.
As the snow fell softly against his hair, he debated if he should ring the doorbell to your apartment or not.

He sighed at the familiar feeling he had at the pit of his stomach as he reached his hand out to push the tiny button.

Ding Dong!


“Hello?”
He let out a sigh of relief at the sound of your voice.
“Hello (Name)-chan, it’s me… Rin.”

Rin stood outside rubbing his hands together to keep warm, as the snow fell.
He turned around and leaned against the fence trying to figure out how he will explain himself to you.
For the longest time he knew he liked you. You weren’t like all the girls from Iwatobi high school.

You weren’t vain.
You were humble.
You weren’t spiteful.
Instead you were very forgiving.
And most of all… you weren’t sickeningly thin.
He loved that about you.
Just the thought of being able to actually hold onto you made him blush.

He heard a click and the door opens revealing your curvy figure.
Rin stood in front of you; his hair had some snow on them.


“Rin? What are you doing out here?” you asked, confused as to why the samezuka boy is over your house on a weekend.
“(Name) can we please talk?” he eyed you from head to toe.
“Sure, let me grab my coat.” You headed towards the closet by the door and picked out your coat and scarf.
After putting it on, you walked outside and met Rin by the gate.
“What’s going on? Is everything okay?” you tilted your head to the side, giving Rin, who is now fiddling with his fingers an inquisitive look.

“Nee, (Name)-chan… I really like you. So go out with me.” His tone was almost commanding.
“Huh?” you muttered, surprised at the sudden confession from Rin, whose attention most girls fight over at Iwatobi High.
“I said go out with me”. He repeated. His face is now turning a deeper shade of red from the warmth that is now rising to his cheeks.

Somewhere deep inside you, you wondered why someone as popular as him is suddenly asking you out… but you couldn’t deny that even you, yourself wanted him to ask you out as much as any other girl in the school and here he was in front of you doing just that.

“Yes! I-I’ll go out with you!” you stuttered a little, a faint blush can be seen on your chubby cheeks.
Rin’s eyes widen at the sight, and let out a toothy grin.
“All right!” he grabbed your hand and easily pulled you close to him in a tight hug.

“I won’t let you down as your boyfriend. I promise!” he muttered as he buries his face into your hair, taking in your scent.

DING DONG!

You jumped from your bed, sitting up to look at the clock.
12:08 pm.
You looked at your phone on the side table.
27 missed calls from Rin.
You rolled your eyes and went back to bed and put a pillow over your face.

It has been two days and you’ve been avoiding him.
The image of Rin and his so-called best friend still carved into your mind.
She was everything you weren’t.
She was beautiful.
Her hair is always perfect, and her skin is flawless.
She had a d-cup breast like yours but hers stood out against her slim body.
She had long legs, and a tiny waist.
Needless to say… She was every man’s dream girl.

And they were standing close together, her face buried in his chest.
He had his arms around her.
Rin had one of his hands on the small of her back and the other on her head holding her close to him.

DING DING DING DING DING DING DONG!

You sat up, an irritated look on your face as you walked over to the security system and see Rin standing on the other side, puffing his cheeks and looking straight at the camera.

“RIN! What do you want!?” You hissed at the mic of the small intercom.
“Let me in!” His tone of voice was commanding as usual.
You unlocked the door and began walking to the kitchen while Rin let himself inside.

“Why have you been avoiding me? I feel like I did something wrong.” He didn’t waste any time and went straight to the point.
“I don’t know what you’re talking about.” You grabbed a box of matcha pocky and started to eat.

“You know exactly what I’m talking about. I mean seriously? I’ve been calling you numerous times over the past two days and you won’t pick up. You always disappear somewhere the moment I take my eyes off you and you haven’t been replying to my messages. So spill it. What’s going on with you?” he grabbed the pocky on your hand.

“Nothing is going on with me.” You grabbed the pocky back from his hand and put it to your mouth.
“All right then…” Rin sighed and came closer to you, hugging you from the back.
“I really missed you.” He buried his face in your hair, inhaling deeply then moving his head to kiss your neck.

You flinched and moved away from him.

Rin’s eyes widened at your reaction.
“Seriously? What’s wrong with you?” he clicked his tongue as he stepped closer again.

“You should leave. I’m not feeling well.” You averted his gaze and went to the cupboard to get a box of Hello Panda.

“No way! Not until I figure out what’s been bothering you.” You can sense a hint of irritation in his voice.

“I told you already nothing is wrong.” Rin heaved a sigh at your reply.
He won’t let it go.
“Will you please come to me and let me hold you?” He stretched his arms out but instead you walked to the sofa in the living room and turned on the television.

You couldn’t look at him. You knew that if you do you’re going to start crying.
Neither of you have ever kept a secret from each other and after seeing him with his best friend, Misa, you couldn’t get yourself to tell him what you saw.
However, Rin himself hasn’t even told you about what happened which was unusual because he usually tells you everything which made the whole situation even more suspicious.

Rin sat down next to you and put his arm over your shoulder.
“We’ve been together for a year. I can tell when something is bothering you.”
He kept his eyes on the television and you couldn’t hold it in inside of you anymore.

“I saw you with Misa the other day. I saw how you were holding her.” You started.
“(Name)… I ca-“ you cut him off.
“No. Let me finish. You’ve always told me if you were going to go hang out with her and you’ve always shared everything with me and the fact that you haven’t said anything is just making it worse. I’m not usually jealous, you know that… but I can’t help but find the situation suspicious.” Your voice trembled, tears started rolling down your face.

Rin laughed beside you.
“Is that what it was?” He asked, he stopped laughing and wiped the tears of your cheeks.
“It’s not funny I don’t know why you’re laughing.” You puffed and huffed.
“You’re too adorable (Name)… I was just comforting her because her boyfriend turned out to have been cheating on her. Besides, there’s no reason for you to be jealous. She’s not even my type.” He grabbed your hand and kissed the back of your palm.
“What?” you said out of surprise.
“(Name), you’re the only one for me. You’re the only one I look at as a woman. Besides, I like it when I can actually cuddle and hold a woman without having to be pierced by her bones cause she’s so skinny.” He gave you a warm smile, earning a blush from you.

“I love you (Name)…” Rin kissed your cheek, still damp from the tears.
“I-I love you too Rin… I’m sorry for ever doubting you.” You gave out a smile of relief.

“You know… I was thinking, we should get married after we finish school.” Rin suggested squeezing your hand.

“Don’t get ahead of yourself.” You squeezed his hand back.
“Ok, maybe someday.” You giggled.

Rin laughed and gave you a quick soft kiss on the cheek before both of you turned to look at the television together.

“Next time something is bothering you, just… come to me.”
He wrapped his arms around you pulled you in to cuddle.
