Yamazaki Sousuke x Reader: Love letters (8)

Chapter Eight:

Sousuke's breathing was rigid, he looked at his friend, eyes full of anger and resentment.
Rin's hands were clenched in a tight fist for a moment and relaxed, trying to repress his pugnacious nature. Rin heaved a sigh and walked towards Sousuke.
"I'm letting this go and giving you one last chance, if you ever hurt her again, I won't give up so easily." He warned him. Sousuke then grabbed Rin by the collar "And if I see you anywhere near her, it won't just be a punch that will come flying at you. I won't hold back." Rin brushed his hand off him and walked away, leaving an angry Sousuke by himself.

In your room, you let out your tears, punching a pillow here and there. Thinking about it, you were more upset at yourself for going with Rin when he told you to run, rather than sticking around and hearing Sousuke out. After all, you did tell yourself that you won't run away this time if Cheiko ever tried to pull anything. Taking a deep breath, you decided to go for a run to help get your mind off things. You went to your bathroom and washed your face. You put on a shirt, shorts and put on your running sneakers. You tied your hair back in a tight ponytail and went out.

You've already ran a whole lap around the campus when you saw Rin walking out of the boy's dorm, his bag over his shoulder. You can't help but feel somewhat responsible with whatever conflict the boys now have with each other. You approached him "Rin... Are you leaving?" he stopped on his tracks and turned to look at you "Yeah. You never really gave me an answer, so I take it that you won't choose me at the end of the day. But if Sousuke ever hurt you again, I'll be coming to save you." He grabbed your arm and pulled you close. Your face turned red, realizing his lips were on yours. It was only for a brief moment, but you can still feel the warmth his lips have left behind on yours as you watch him disappear into the night. "Bye bye, Rin-kun..."

You resumed your running, the memory of Rin's kiss still in your mind.

While passing by the pool for the second time, you saw a tall silhouette sitting on the edge of the pool. Your heart beat grew fast upon realizing that it was Sousuke. His muscular built was slouched and his face looking down into the water. This is your chance to talk to him... you thought to yourself. You opened the gate to the deck and walked slowly towards him. Noticing your shadow, Sousuke looked up, his eyes glazed with tears. You couldn't say anything. You know you were the reason why he was this way.

Sousuke got up and walked right past you.
"Sousuke wait..!" you chased after him. He stopped without looking at you and you wrapped your arms around him from behind. "I'm so sorry. I-I should have at least heard you out." You feel Sousuke let out a sigh and his hands covered yours.
He turned around and embraced you. The warmth of his body enveloped yours while you buried your face in his chest. "... please forgive me for running away." He didn't say anything, instead you felt something warm on your head. You looked up and his lips met yours. When he pulled away he gave you a smile as if forgiving you.

It felt as though a huge weight has been lifted off your chest. After the meeting at the pool, you and Sousuke went to his dorm room together. You shifted around in his bed while you waited for him to get out of the shower.

This is... Oh no.. What if..?
A series of thoughts ran through your mind while looking around his room. Then on his night stand you notice something shiny on the corner of your eyes and decided to take a closer look. Your eyes widen after realizing what it was. It was a condom. Sitting openly on his night stand. You picked it up and looked at it, your face a mixture of horror and excitement.

"What are you doing?" You jumped when you hear Sousuke's voice.
"A-Ano... Sousuke... Do you use these.. often?" You showed him the condom.
Sousuke's eyes were of utter shock. He didn't put that there. He hasn't even bought any and yet, there it was, a shiny new wrapper of Ogre brand condoms. He quickly grabbed his phone and just as he thought, there was a text from Rin.

"I left you a little present on your night stand. Use it well •̀.̫•́✧"

Sousuke let out a sigh and looked at you. "Sorry.. Rin left it there as a joke." You were relieved. You put the condom back on the night stand and Sousuke walked towards you. He sat on the edge of the bed and his hand reached out to touch your face. His hand felt warm and soft against your skin. You took a good look at him and smiled. His damp hair shining wildly against the light in the room, his half naked body have water droplets coming down. Then you realized, Holy crap. He's not even dressed yet. Your face turned red and pointed at him. "Hmm?" he looked down on his lap, his face was stricken with embarrassment.

"S-Sorry! I didn't realize..." He got up and grabbed some clothes in his closet and went back to his bathroom to change. Oh.My.Lord. You saw him. You saw his- you shook your head trying to forget the image that was burned into your mind, making your body hot.
"N-Ne, It's such a weird coincidence that Rin left you this..." You started. "Huh? D-Did you by any chance, want to use it?" Sousuke's head poked out of the bathroom, you can tell he was having a hard time trying to assess the situation.

"Well... I-I think we should wait a while." You suggested. "I actually should get going. It's getting really late." You stood up from the bed and was headed towards the door when Sousuke grabbed ahold of your arm and dragged you back to the bed. You closed your eyes, feeling yourself fall backwards into the bed. When you opened them, you see Sousuke on top of you. He leaned down and gave you a kiss. It started out as an innocent peck, but his kiss deepened. What minutes it took, felt like hours. Sousuke got off of you and sat back down at the edge of his bed. "Sorry, I couldn't help it..." You sat up from his bed and shook your head. "No, it's okay." you gave him a reassuring smile.

"Let me walk you to your dorm." Sousuke offered, and you nodded. The walk to the dorm was quiet and awkward like the first time you two had met. Once you reached there, Sousuke gave you one last kiss on the cheek. "I like you a lot, (Name)... Don't ever run away from me again." He gave you a smile before ruffling your hair.

This time, you decided that you'll do your best to make it work. You won't run away anymore because you know just how much you mean to him. What started out as nothing but love quotes being exchanged, turned out into something a whole lot bigger. You smiled to yourself thinking of how your relationship had developed.
